Problems with archives

  • Hi, i new to wordpress but have this week created this site from scratch.

    This is the problem i need help with.

    1. The archives page and the category page doesn’t look to well. I have read many tutorials and the WP docs but don’t know how to solve this problem. I’m using dynamic content gallery and maybe therefore i have problems with the design.

    But how do I create a own archive.php? Do I first create a new page and link it to archives and then add a own archives.php with my own code?

  • You do not need a page to have an archive. Just create archive.php (not archives.php) and it will be used for archive queries.
