    I am having some issues with assigning pages to courses and / or memberships. If I was to describe it best, Lifter will not let me page go, ??

    Ok let me describe, I assigned the pages that lifter creates when activated. Then for the courses page, I used beaver builder lite to design it, and used the courses short code. Everything was great up until the last week. Same for memberships.

    Now I can no longer edit anything on these pages. So I unassigned them in Lifter, was able to get editing capabilities back for courses but not memberships. Then I deleted the memberships page, added a new one, and same thing. Lifter won’t stop controlling the page.

    I have no caching, not plugins caching, no services caching.

    I’ll go do some reading on your docs page to see if I can find any solutions.

  • @wpcrafter,

    That’s because the “Courses” and “Membership” pages are actually WordPress custom post type archives. The content in the WYSIWYG editor will never actually display on the page.

    If you’d like to create custom course or membership pages using BeaverBuilder and the shortcodes you’ll want to simply create duplicate pages, create your content there, leave the original pages intact and configured as the course and membership pages in LifterLMS settings and then create redirects from the original pages to your custom ones.

    I like to create 301 redirects in my .htaccess file but you could also very easily use https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/redirection/

    I realize this is a bit of work and, if I had infinite time or didn’t require sleep, I would resolve this some better way (automatically) but it’s not a high enough priority issue for me at the moment and the workaround doesn’t take that much time to implement.

    Hope that clears things up for you,

    Thanks. So just to confirm, in the LifterLMS settings, I don’t need to specify a course or membership page??

    @wpcrafter,

    You should specify them as your defaults, and have duplicates for your customs.

    Then created redirects from the defaults (selected as your options) to your custom ones.

    LifterLMS needs those options for certain redirects and functions to work. That’s why the redirects are necessary.

    Again, I know this is a pain, but I don’t have infinite time to fix every issue and have to choose my battles carefully. This will get resolved one day but for now just setup duplicates with a redirect, I promise it’ll only take you a few minutes.

    Take care,

    Ok, will mark this as resolved.
