• I’ve been using WP for some time without any problems. However, in the last couple of days, comment notification seems to have ceased. I have checked that it is set to send to the correct address. I have checked that the address is working. I have checked that my spam filter is not stopping the mails (I’ve actually switched it off whilst I fix this). I’ve checked all the settings I can think of, to no avail.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I have Kitten’s Spaminator installed, but disabling the plugin doesn’t help. I’m using WP 1.2.1

Try upgrading to WP v1.2.2. See the following link if you need any help with that. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Upgrading

I’m now on 1.2.2 and still have the same problem, using the latest version of wp-comments-post.php (which I assume is the file responsible for posting notifications).
I’ve treble-checked my settings, and they are all correct.

Has your host made any changes to the mail sending functions on your server ?
If it literally just stopped, and you had not edited or otherwise altered any WP file at all between the last email received and then it all stopping, then it must be a host error.
Otherwise, if you have upgraded, you did first delete all wp files in /wp-admin and /wp-includes before uploading new files ? Never rely on your ftp client overwriting files properly – it saves a lot of hassle to just delete them first.

Just wanted to bump this thread. #

*sigh* I’m sorry. Nevermind for me.
