Ok, I’ll try to explain everything in detail so you might be able to help me better…hopefully it won’t be too long!

When I first signed up for hosting with GoDaddy I needed to get a blog up and running, I didn’t know much about blogging software and NucleusCMS was available in the “Value Added Applications” folder, so, I installed it and have been using it ever since, I now have several blogs and am now wanting to get them converted over to WordPress because I have been helping other people set up their blogs with it and other sites I am working on I have used WordPress on them and like it a lot.

On GoDaddy when you install an application via their “Value Added Applications” folder, you don’t get the MySQL database information. I emailed them about it and they made a dump of my MySQL database into my root directory, so, I’ve got all of my posts, now I just need to get them into WordPress.

I downloaded all of my files from my server. I’ve been trying to get Nucleus set up on my local server just as it is on my website…to no luck.

I’ve been trying to get this converter to work:
    https://www.contentschmiede.de/archiv/2005/07/28/nucleus-zu-wordpress-konverter/

I’ve tried importing my posts using RSS but that doesn’t work.

If anyone has any suggestions of tips I’d HIGHLY, HIGHLY appreciate them! I’m sorry for such a long post, you’ve PROBABLY heard it before, but, I wanted to explain in detail. So again, much appreciation in advance. I look forward to getting away from Nucleus.

Moshu: I did do a search, I always do a search before I post, however what I found wasn’t helping me any. However, thanks for the reminder ??

I did get it to work though, I installed Nucleus to my local installation, backed up my live installation and then imported the backup. Then, I ran a converter that I found here:

    https://www.contentschmiede.de/archiv/2005/07/28/nucleus-zu-wordpress-konverter/

Once I ran the converter, my posts showed up, however my images did not because they were uploaded to Nucleus whenever I made the post, so I’ll have to go through all of my posts and re-insert the images. I think from now on I’ll upload the images and then link them instead of relying on the software!

I’ll also have to do a LOT of work to get my blogs set up the way I want them. I’ll have to delete all of my blogs, but one, export, re-import, convert to nucleus, then start the whole process over with all the other blogs (I don’t know if made sense just then or not!)

Edit: Because I have multiple blogs, when I ran the converter it put them into the same WordPress blog. There, lol, I hope that makes better sense.

I’m looking forward to converting my older blogs over to WordPress so they can join my new blogs that are using WordPress, its just going to take some time!
