problems with default sort images

  • Since at least the last update my selected order for images (other options > order of images) changes to default for no apparent reason, I already changed the option two times because it goes back to default on its own

    Thanks for reaching out,

    Upon further inspection, I couldn’t replicate the issue with the image sorting option on NextGEN Gallery. The options work fine and saves properly,

    If the issue still appears, I suggest you deactivate all the third-party plugins except the NextGEN Gallery and check if the issue gets resolved or not! Once the defect plugin is found, reactivate the other plugin and continue setting up the site.

    Hello, thanks for answering.

    The problem only appears when I update the themes/plugins (different ones every time) so I don′t know how I could test it with the method you mentioned (once I manually change the settings it stays that way until I must update anything).

    But today I noticed something that didn′t happened in a long time, and that is problems with the lightbox. I use FirelighWP (free version) and it is having problems with this plugin.

    In Other settings > Lightbox effects if I choose “none” it doesn′t show me the FirelighWP one, and if I choose any other that isn′t “Thickbox” it shows 2 lighboxs (this and the other plugin). With “tickbox” at least for now it seems to be working fine. ?

    I have used this two plugins together for a long time and this is the first time that I notice any problem

    Update (next day): I deactivated the lighbox of this plugin and changed two specific settings of FirelightWP and for now the lighbox is working fine, but from yesterday to today this plugin reseted the lighbox options (in “other options) and the default sorting method (other option>images options) on it′s own (just these two one) for no apparent reason (didn’t change/update plugins or themes, it doesn’t happen when i clear the cache with WP Rocket).

    for now it is working, my website is alberplast.com.ar

    Sorry for the trouble,

    I suspect it to be a conflict between the Firelight WP and the NextGEN Gallery plugin. If the issue gets replicated again, I suggest deactivating the Firelight WP plugin and check if the issue with lightbox and Image Sorting works fine or not!
