• I recently installed the latest version of WordPress 3.4.2 and I cannot drop and drag items in the widgets or menu sections.

Also, the weirdest thing– when trying to add copy to pages or blog posts the copy is white so I can only see it if I highlight it. I tried going into my settings to see if the font colors are set to white. I also cannot upload photos or media when trying to write a post.

I’m working with Styx, which is a custom theme. I’ve already reinstalled the software on my web host’s server once before because I was having a bunch of other problems the first time around.

I’m hoping someone can help with an easy fix!
    Thanks in advance,
    Kara

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.
