When I try to create new gallery, wordpress creates new gallery folder with permisions ‘600’, What means that due to folder’s permissions “thumbs” folder cannot be created and images cannot be uploaded.

If I change gallery folder manualy files can be uploaded, but get files permission ‘600’ as well and folder ‘thumbs’ has been created with file permission “600”.

Any ideas how to force wordpress to set new file permissions to 644 and directories permissions to 755?

@aczkolwiek – This may be an issue best taken up with your web hosting service provider.

    Thanks!

Have the same issus I did a chmod -R 755 on the gallery folder but it keeps creating folder with 600 permission

Neither WordPress nor Nextgen can change the files permissions

I thought with the php method chmod(755) before creating the gallery folder and the file it would work

I find the solution I wrote it there in case you want to know

Question to photocrati – when will this bug be fixed please?

In my situation it was problem with hosting provider. When I moved my website to other hosting, everything works properly

    Thanx photocrati

I uninstalled it again as I couldn’t fix the issues. Besides, there are some jquery issues that call other scripts like filebase pro to fail.

There are better, less bloated galleries out there completely for free. I was hoping that after Alex sold NextGen the product would be enhanced, and I also don’t like the “freemium” model where I need to pay for a template…
