• Hi,

I’m in the process of building my second ecommerce website.

Like the first site I build, I’m using the Flatsome Theme. However, on the second site, I’m not able to view many of the “elements” found in the Flatsome UX Builder. For example, Flatsome has a countdown element and a picture slider element. When I add either of those to my page, they work fine on desktop and tablet but on my mobile phone I get a spinning bar indicating its loading (but it never loads, it’s been doing this for over a week no matter what I try, and I can’t seem to figure out why).

All of the Flatsome elements work fine on mobile for my first site. I tried to copy the same settings; however my second site is still giving me problems.

How can I trouble shoot something like this? Should I delete the theme, then try to install it again on my site? Could trying that, potentially delete any work I’ve already done to the site (products or pages)? I’ve already tried deactivating plugins and even with no plugins active it still has the same problems.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You’re using a commercial/premium theme/plugin, so please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

    Hi,

    Thanks for you reply.

I sent them an email asking the same question. I got a response asking me to allow them access to my admin panel by creating an admin user login for them.

Is it a bad idea for me to give admin rights to someone like that? Or is it normal procedure for trouble shooting a website problem? Should I do anything before hand to safeguard my info (I have woocommerce and stripe)?

It’s up to you and the degree to which you might trust them. And, whether they really need access to your site. It’s generally NOT necessary.

Make and download a full backup first.

    Hi,

Thanks for the info. I backed it up using all in one WP migration.

I just sent a request to join the flatsome facebook group. I’ll try to troubleshoot the problem there first.

One other thing he mentioned that I should be using a child theme. I didn’t set up a child theme when I initially installed the theme (in the installer I remember the button read “if you don’t know what a child theme is then click here to skip” so I skipped but now I’m wishing I didn’t). Would you suggest going back and creating a child theme now?
