Problems with Google Authorship
-
I am exchanging emails with Google about Authorship problems. They sent me a copy of the results of running both my blogs through Redbot.org and validator.w3.org
There were over 200 coding error and 60+ cautions as well as a 500 server error which I have brought to the attention of my webhost. How can this be? The blogs are straight and simple WordPress blogs and the only plugins I use came from installing them through the “Add Plugins” option within the WordPress blog itself.
Now I’ve got to spend HOURS repairing coding issues which should be there in the first place, especially considering that a lot of them are missing the > or <
Shouldn’t the people that create the plugins be held to the highest standard? Especially considering these plugins are the ones we all count on for social media sharing and blog stats?
Is anyone else having these issues? I would love to hear from anyone on this issue, especially suggestions on how to avoid this problem short of not using any plugins. These are the plugins I have installed and I’m sure a lot of you use them as well:
[Plugin list moderated. We don’t really need that, thanks.]
