• Hi,

For SEO purposes I’ve been using the same headline as I insert in the field above the permalink data in the very first line of the post.

I also <h1> it again, for SEO purposes.

This has been causing problems making the headline within the post all scrunched up. It either does that at the top centered of the page, or off to the right centered.

A couple of people are telling me this is b/c I have the headline twice, but I’m confused how to solve this problem. I need to work on the SEO of each post/page, right?

    Thanks

    Michelle

  • post a link to your site to illustrate the problem.

Why are you doing this twice? Your headline that is inserted as the title is assigned as an <h1> I believe, so no sense in replicating….

    Sorry for the delay.

You sure? Someone told me a few years ago that field was only so you would know what the post was about, that it didn’t count as the real headline that the spiders see.

If it is, then fine, I’ll only use that from now on.

    Thank you

P.S. Sweeper, I hope you understand now.
