Problems with Headway and Pagelines

On 2 client sites the plugin is broken badly.
On the Headway site the slideshow only shows the loading graphic – just keeps spinning indefinitely.
On Pagelines site similar issue, but first image loads and then does nothing when clicked. No image transition at all.
Switching to thumbnail gallery gets rid of the problem on both sites, but no popup available. Images only load to new windows. Have tried completely redoing the settings every way I can think of and nothing works.
On the other 12 sites that run this plugin, all galleries had to have settings redone, but thankfully those are working. Very time consuming.
