Problems with in-page secondary menu

See, the theme I bought works super well, and the primary and footer menus work just as intended.

However, I had to install the Max Mega Menu plugin to create a menu inside a specific page. It works well in Portuguese (the primary language), but when I try to make it work on the English page, I get one of these two errors:

1. If I use the shortcode provided by MMM for the english version of the menu, the menu suddenly disappears. By looking at the resulting CSS, it seems like the shortcode I’m trying to use for the English version is simply not working: <!-- menu not found [maxmegamenu location=max_mega_menu_1___en] -->
2. If I use the shortcode provided by MMM for the PORTUGUESE version of the menu, it shows up! However, it doesn’t load the CSS. It looks like this: https://www.chetochine.com.br/en/areas-of-expertise/

I tried deactivating the Polylang plugin and the menu *did* work, using option 1. But I really really like Polylang and I don’t want to turn if off because of a pesky menu. Any ideas?
