EDIT – Most arrogant developer I’ve ever come across…

Since the update all the time indicators for my facebook wall has disappeared.
This is a big problem since I need to be able to see when the posts are made..

If anyone has a fix for this then please get in touch.

A 2 star review and you are asking for help on a plugin that is highly active with support follow ups, I just don’t get it.

So far you are the only one reporting this issue and I’ve double check out test install and all is ok. Did you try going to the settings page and resaving a date option? What feed are you using? Can you provide an example link please? If you want support go here please. https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/feed-them-social

@mod only one day later and yet again another person leaving a review when it should be support. When are we going to stop allowing people to leave reviews before submitting for support, PLEASE? We put way too much time and effort everyday on this plugin and others to have reviews like this.

We’re not going to do that. People can leave reviews as they please, and you don’t get to decide what is or is not a valid review.

You don’t get it ? You know what i don’t get – your smart remarks to everyone leaving a negative review on the plugin.
So your logic is that since I’m the only one experiencing this issue at the moment, I must be doing something wrong? That seem’s about as constructive and helpful as your smart remarks.

A review is a review. I’m reviewing the plugin based on my experience now – not based on tomorrow or next year.

    ShawnDK,
You want good support but you complain before you give us a chance to help. Not a great way to start off. Doesn’t really help your case. At this point you pretty much aren’t getting help from us. Good luck and have a nice day.

I wasn’t really looking for support specifically. I came here to leave a review of my current experience with the plugin. Of cause I’ll make a comment when a plugin dosen’t work right after the release of a new update. It is possible to both leave a review and seek support at the same time you know – reviews can be re-reviewed ??

I seems to me that you are of the opinion that everyone that experiences a problem with the plugin should jump right over to support and get it fixed, then leave a five star review. That’s not how this works. Sure I would like the bug to get fixed so I can enjoy the plugin without flaws, but I would also want to inform others considering the plugin to know the up’s and down’s at present time.

The whole point of the review concept is to enlighten and inform others about a product.

    Plugin Author slickremix

    (@slickremix)

Yes if you are having a problem and really enjoy our plugin then you would ask for help not leave a 2 star review then say you will make it better if it is fixed later. Using a review as leverage to get help is just ridiculous. And actually there is a time limit on changing the review.

What about all the time the plugin did work great and everything was ok. I don’t see you leaving any good comments about that or informing people how great that part is?

Anyway you obviously have your strong opinion and aren’t seeking our help so again good luck and have a great day. If you change your mind, please change the review then ask for help and we will be glad to assist.

Actually that is how it works. You aren’t really helping anyone when you leave a bad review (before asking for support) and you definetly aren’t motivating any plugin developer to give you their FREE support. Guess you can’t win them all. There will always be complainers. Thanks for your feedback anyways.

I was about to go and ask for support but then you replied to my review. I didn’t plan on using my review as leverage for anything. I was merely trying to point out that a reply isen’t irreversibel.
Well I really did enjoy the plugin before the update, hence the 2 star review – and not a 1 star review.

I guess that’s your opinion. I look at reviews before installing plugins, therefor i appreciate all reviews. So the way I see it I help anyone that’s considering your plugin right now to think twice.
I could write a lot of stuff here about how great the plugin was when it was working, but how does that help anyone when that’s not the case now ?
Reviews have an important role since it contributes to make good plugins get even better and the bad ones to vanish. And if you really want to turn on the attitude again, there will always be complaints if a product doesn’t measure up. A developer denying support and suggesting that reviews are only made if its a five star one frankly strikes me as a con artist.

Nice review update! Even though this is not a support forum I will help you out anyway cause you have been so nice. Go to the settings page of our plugin and Save the page. That will force the date and time to work. This issue will be fixed in the next update which will be in a day or 2. If you want further help go to the support forum. https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/feed-them-social

    Hi Spencer
This does not work when using the “1 day ago” FaceBook & Twitter Date Format.
This however worked prior to the current update.

The 1 day ago option is not meant for the Events feed. The reson is because then people would not get an accurate date and time for each of your events.

    Spencer

    (@shawndk)

    Okay.
It is however a style that fits my clients needs since it resembles facebook’s own way of displaying post time. On a very busy site with limited posts shown this style can be easier to read for some. Since it worked with feeds in a prior version of your plugin I assumed that it was now flawed. Thanks for your time.

    Plugin Author slickremix

    (@slickremix)

That is correct all other fb and twitter feeds will show that because it’s a time stamp for the post that was created not an actual Event date for an upcoming event. When viewing an event on Facebook you will see the event date, not a one day ago type time stamp.

It doesn’t work on the facebook feed I’m working with after the last update. I’m not working with any event, only the facebook group feed itself.

    Plugin Author slickremix

    (@slickremix)

I did a test on our site https://feedthemsocial.com/facebook-group-feed-demo/. I deleted the free plugin and reinstalled it. Tested the group feed and all appears to work ok. I even changed the date type and then changed it back to the one day option and the feed is showing the proper date format.

I would try deleting and reinstalling the plugin. Possibly a glitch happened on update or another plugin or the theme could be causing this conflict if you do not see the proper date format. This update has been out for a couple weeks now and honestly this is the only feedback we have seen about this particular issue, hopefully it was an update glitch or plugin/theme conflict that can be solved.
