I have used maps fine in the past. Have configured now an installation on a new site. When I add a new location and put in the address, it tells me location not found. I put the same address on the older installation and it finds it fine.

I have enabled the site in the Google API and I use the same key. What could be the problem?

  • Hello,

Are you using DIVI? If you are, You would nneed to check their documentation on how to Add Googlemaps API.

Can you also make sure that you have also enabled the following API’s and added the Billing Info?
1, Make sure that you have also added your BILLING ADDRESS, This is because google maps requires billing information now.
    2. Geocoding API
    3. Geolocating API
    4. Directions API
    5. Distance API
    6. Elevation API

After you have made sure that you have activated those, You might need to re-enter the addresses again on the Field for the map to show.

    I am using OceanWP

Have put the APIs you are talking about with no change. Did not understand anyway why I need an elevation API.

And like I said, the same API key is working on one site, but on the other one with the same EM version it is not.

just to confirm, did you already check or follow this setup tutorial? https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/api-key/

Sure I did read this page carefully. And as I said the API key works fine on another site with the same Event Manager configuration. So there is no problem with the API key.

sorry wasn’t able to replicate this issue and seems working fine on our test sites; however, another workaround is trying this user shared plugin (author not part of EM devs)

Yes, it is something difficult to replicate, since it works on one site, but does not work on another. I already installed that plugin and it is working fine.

    Hello,

If you’re using it on other Events Manager Site. Have you added the Site for the Restrictions for the new Site?

Yes, the Google API key is configured correctly, and I have tested with restrictions or without restrictions, or anything imaginable.
