Problems with 'more' tag in long storify articles

I’ve got a problem when storify displays (a LONG story) … no matter what I do, the “more” tag does not work and storify just keeps on expanding the story on the blog summary page. the more tag works quite fine with other long posts – and other posts that have other embedded content. It’s just storify.
any insights?
PS- I am quite certain I am embedded the “more” tags inside the storify embed code where the tag is not in between any div tags or other paired tags.
