Problems with new sites – cannot access wp-admin

Normally I’d say ‘What’s your .htaccess look like, cause it sounds like it’s not set up correctly’ but you said ‘Windows’ and IIS is weird.

What IIS version are you on? 6 or 7?

If you have apache, you can use the .htaccess suggestion. If not, you need web.config

no – the main site is working fine but I’m unable to get into the sub-directory site admin /its/wp-admin folder

I can get into my domain.tld/wp-admin folder just fine.

I get the:
404 – File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Yeah, sadly my IIS skills are minimal to non-existent. I’ve tagged this IIS so hopefully a guru arrives!
