Problems With Optimization

    Hi,

    I’ve used this plugin on most versions of one of my websites, and normally it works flawlessly.

    However I’ve had this problem since before Christmas, and only just got around to addressing it.

    On the initial screen, under Status, where it gives the database size, and the potential savings after running WP Optimize, the reading at Christmas was around 175mb database size, and it’s always something like 300kb can be saved.

    That was back at Christmas last year though, and the Database size is now 204mb (with around 300kb potentioal savings)

    Just ran it and the database size is now 213mb with 315bytes potential savings.

    I know from previous testing that if I were to run it again, the database size would increase more.

    Obviously something wrong here – what exactly?

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay.

    This can happen when the database is using InnoDB tables. Optimising these tables is related to speed, rather than size.
