Problems with photo gallery not showing on website

Hi – I wanted to update a page (a photo gallery) on my website and set it to ‘private’ as I made the changes. When I tried to revert back to public, it no longer shows the images as before on my website. I can see the images in the edit page mode, but when I preview/look on the website, I see a blank page, though it says my visibility is public. The link to the photo gallery is also missing from my menu. I’ve tried restoring a previous revision – no joy with seeing the photos. I’m a complete novice at this so have no idea where to go…
