    Hello,

I have been using WP-Members for a couple of weeks and it was working completely fine.

Today, a user register but I did not received any email. But it was showing a new user on my admin panel.

I tried to subscribe, as a test, and again I didn’t receive any email telling me about the new subscription, event though my setting is to do that.

Anyway, I checked on my WP-Members area and it is showing this message “You have set WP-Members to turn off the registration process but you also set to moderate and/or email admin new registrations. You will need to set up a registration page for users to register.”

The thing is, I didn’t turn off the registration process or anything. As I said, it was working completely fine.

One thing that I noticed, is that I checked the “removes the registration form from blocked content”, because I don’t think it is necessary to have the “New User?….” + the registration form. I prefer to leave just the “new user?….”

When I uncheck this box, the message “You are set WP-Members to turn off…” disappears, but I also did a test, and no email with new subscription is being sent. It is not being sent to me (admin) not even to the new user.

And by the way, the register page for the new user is done and was working. I double checked and it is everything right about the register page.

Can you please tell me what’s is going on?

    Thanks

The message you mentioned, while possibly unclear, really just tells you that you have the default process of showing the registration form on blocked content turned off and is just saying make sure you have a registration page created/setup. That’s why it went away when you changed the setting back to the default. It has nothing to do with your email issue.

Your email issue could be any number of problems. I have some suggestions on troubleshooting wp_mail here.

    Hello Chad,

I am sorry, I was supposed to update this status but I forgot.

The problem that wp-members was not sending emails it was a problem with my host. They updated something and changed my email configuration. Anyway, everything is working now.

    thanks

I’m not surprised – the most common problems with wp_mail stem from hosting issues (either configuration or not knowing/understanding host restrictions/requirements for script-based email). Glad you have things working.
