Problems with RSS Feeds and 2.8.1

  • I finally took the plunge and upgraded to 2.8.1 (from 2.7.1) and it’s mostly working ok except for the damn RSS feeds. I have been using a mixture of the builtin RSS Widget and the KB Advanced RSS Widget.

    I turned off the KB widget the first time I tried to upgrade to 2.8 as it was screwing everything up, so all my existing RSS feeds are using the builtin RSS. The problem is most are not working giving me the error ‘can’t connect to http…

    I tried installing the KB widget but you cannot save the contents!

    Has anybody got any ideas about which is the best Widget to use or how to get it working correctly?

  • It seems that a LOT of people using WP are having a LOT of issues with RSS feeds, myself included, and there is ZERO support for this widget and the other RSS plugins/widgets simply don’t work as advertised.

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

    Exactly what issue are you having? What version of WP? What is the URL?
