Problems with Russian

    Hello,

    After migrating from QTranslate to QTranslate-X (Version 3.2.9) there is a problem with Russian (default site’s language was Russian):
    1. Most of menus in Admin panel are now in English (just one exception is in Russian).
    2. It’s impossible to select Russian in General Settings – after submitting I got English again and again.
    3. At least FireFox Browser directs Russian visitors to English version by default, i.e. doesn’t understands the browser language correctly.

    Please, check these bugs and improve them in next version if they are available not only at my site.

    Also it would be great to have the possibility to add multilingual metatags (the old meta plugin of QTranslate doesn’t work with Qtranslae-X).

    in the admin panel top right, you can change the language, General Settings than is automatically adjusted.

    default site’s language was Russian

    What is the default language in Settings – Languages?

    Also it would be great to have the possibility to add multilingual metatags

    Menus are in Russian now, thanks (I was silly not to find this myself:) ).

    Settings – Language is set to Russian but it doesn’t help (I got English in frontend).

    I can see Custom fields below the Posts. It looks like they have something from tags but they are not user-friendly. I also installed “Add Meta Tags” plugin but it’s not multilingual.

    Delete cache and cookies to approach the site “clean”

    I can see Custom fields below the Posts.

    Not in a Post but – Dashboard menu – Posts – there is – All Posts – Add New – Categories – and Tags

    Choose Tags then you come to the page Tags with the language switch buttons

    Sorry instead of tags I meant meta-tags. They are not available when creating/editing the post.

    There is no sense to install “Add Meta Tags” plugin – I showed it just to explain that it has no relation to Qtranslate-X. Neither Custom Fields nor “Add Meta Tags” plugin allows to select the language – you can only set everything manually with language selectors (ex. [:en])

    Previously I used “Qtranslate Meta” plugin at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/qtranslate-meta/screenshots/. Its big plus was in possibility to choose the language and type standard metatags in each selected language separately (ex. Title, Description, Keywords).

    have you tried this; Compatibility Functions on?

    But:

    This plugin hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

    My Compatibility Functions are already on (otherwise doesnt’s work at all).
