I’m having problems using the plugin with the PayPal sandbox environment with some of the more recent versions of the plugin.

When using V1.0.27 everything worked fine with the Sandbox client ID. I just changed the Client Id in the plugin settings to use the sandbox value.

Once the plugin was updated to include settings for both live/sandbox client id and secret values and to select whether or not you were running test/sandbox….I can no longer get the plugin to work with the Sandbox. I don’t get any error messages. The PayPal box pops up and then disappears. Looking at the browser tools it appears Uncaught Error: RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND and/or INVALID_RESOURCE_ID are occurring. I am using the same Sandbox values I’ve used for over a year. I tried creating a new PayPal Sandbox app but the same problem occurred.

The live environment appears to work properly with V1.0.35 in a staging environment using the Live client id/secret code values.

Any help with this problem is greatly appreciated. I am continuing to use the old v1.0.27 (vs 1.0.35) in my production environment until I can get this resolved.

Hi, The latest version of the plugin seems to be working fine with sandbox credentials. Please make sure that all four values are present and correctly entered in the settings. Have you tried from an incognito window?

Hi. Thank you for your quick response. I have all four values present in settings and have double-checked the values are correct. I also have the “Check this option to run transactions in test mode with your PayPal sandbox API credentials.” enabled. I also verified that my Sandbox REST API settings are the same as the Live app.

I deactivated all plugins except for Checkout for PayPal. I cleared all cache at the host level. I tried incognito (ie, Firefox Private window). I get the same results….the PayPal window opens and then immediately disappears.

When I look at the Firefox Developer tools output, the “graphql_UpdateClientConfig_error” says RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND and the ClientID parameter value is the Live Client ID (not Sandbox) and the env parameter value says “production”. The “graphql_GetCheckoutDetails_error” says INVALID_RESOURCE_ID.

What other information can I provide? Or is there something else I can try?
