Hey folks, My friend runs a WordPress site and it is a non-blog site. When I search the site on Google a few pages pop up but they are scattered everywhere. He has a SEO plugin and the privacy settings are fine. How can we get the site to show up?

    Thanks in advanced,
    Harry

  • Yes, I checked again. Your work is accurate. The results in Google SERPs also include links from other sources. That makes the difference.

    Wish you all the best!

So your saying it’s basically a waiting game from now on?

    Yes.

Visit your Google webmaster tools account. It will already have indexed pages. If any pages are there that are not indexed they will also be added, though Google will visit all the pages in the sitemap. Sometimes, all these will take place immediately. But what generally appears in the SERPs are cached pages/links. There are instances when published/ newly added pages appear instantly on SERPs. No such thing as waiting game.

Do you think the problem might be that the site goes through a redirect? tf2prohosting.com

Not really. Search engines take their own time! You can get real time results from your Google Analytics account and Google Webmaster Tools. You cannot get as much info from this forum.

site: shows few 404 pages, are you using 301 redirection from another domain to this one, if so, paste you .htaccess file and issue is in 301 redirect….
