    hi! i’m currently testing backup migration on a clients homepage… i import the backup to “local by flywheel” for local development, but after import i have problems with german special chars like “???”…
    “Bad K?nigshofen” changed to “Bad K??nigshofen”

    i added debug Infos: BMI-n4qk56Bd-14586

    would be nice if you could help me with this ??

    Is the problem with the letters present over the whole website, or in some specific places only?

    Also, could you please share the debug log from the site where you migrated?

    Please navigate to the plugin section Troubleshooting > Check advanced options and click on the button:
    Share debug info with BackupBliss team

    Hi @hd7b

    Please check if your new website database support the same character set as your previous website database, you can check that in phpMyAdmin (you can install it with a plugin). Simply select xx_posts table and in table details check if same character set encoding applies. I believe some older hosting providers may not support utf8mb4 and in this case it will make table with fallback character set.
