Dear support team,

we are running Monsterinsights (Version 7.16.0) on wordpress multisite with Manually Enter Your UA Code option. Today we tried to switch one of the websites in the multisite install to the newly available GA4 tracking. But there is no switch like promoted in your blog posts. Also the description of manually enter your code still only shows the old format of UA-XXXXXXXXX so shall we just enter the new GA4 number in this field?

Besides we would like to keep the old universal analytics property active as well (as recommended by google) but if we just enter the new GA4 tracking number the old universal property would stop getting data.

Is there a way to keep both the universal and GA4 tracking active (if possible with entering the codes manually) and if yes how can we achieve this?

On another note – with the same setup we tried to connect the GA4 property but the interface only lists all Universal properties of the google user and no GA4 properties. When trying to enter the new formated property of GA4 (the one without UA) manually it does not save since the format is not accepted.
So at the moment I don’t see any way to add a GA4 property – are there any workarounds or planned fixes?

I’m also having difficulty with the new GA4 property:
- It won’t show up in the list of properties after authentication
- I can’t manually add the measurement ID
Hoping the development team is working on this.

I have the same issue as @bftrick. The GA4 property is not showing up even though I can see it in GA for the same user.

And I also want to track both UA and GA4 like @dontwakeme. For now I’ve had to add UA tracking code manually along side my manual GA4 tracking to not loose all stats for UA.

Just an update, as of this morning MonsterInsights starting with version 8.0 fully supports GAv4 properties, including the ability to dual track into both a v3 and a v4 property at the same time.
