problems with the control of the images displayed

    Hi,
    I have integrated rtMedia into my site, but I still have two problems with the control of the images displayed in the galleries that I have not yet been able to solve.
    The basis is a BuddyPress installation with several users who have images with different privacy settings in their media directories.

    1. The display of images in a gallery depending on the selected privacy of the images (public / user / private) in interaction with the user (logged in / not logged in) who wants to view this gallery.

    The images are currently displayed incorrectly:
    ? Image (public) + user not logged in = images are displayed
    ? Image (public) + user logged in = images are displayed
    ? Image (user) + user not logged in = images are not displayed
    ? Image (user) + user logged in = images are not displayed
    ? Picture (private) + user not logged in = pictures are not displayed
    ? Picture (private) + user logged in = pictures are not displayed
    ? Picture (private) + I’m not logged in = pictures are not displayed
    ? Picture (private) + I am logged in = pictures are not displayed

    Correct would be:
    ? Image (public) + user not logged in = images are displayed
    ? Image (public) + user logged in = images are displayed
    ? Image (user) + user not logged in = images are not displayed
    ? Image (user) + user logged in = images are displayed
    ? Picture (private) + user not logged in = pictures are not displayed
    ? Picture (private) + user logged in = pictures are not displayed
    ? Picture (private) + I’m not logged in = pictures are not displayed
    ? Picture (private) + I am logged in = pictures are displayed

    It would also make sense here if images with the status User or Private are displayed in a gallery so that this optical marking can be used. For example with a colored frame, a letter or an icon. So that you can see the privacy status in the gallery.

    2. The second problem is, if a gallery has a user ID displayed in a lightbox, at the end of the gallery the lightbox does not jump back to the beginning, but shows the images of the next user ID. It goes on and on.
    How can I solve these two problems?

    Sorry to hear the inconvenience you are facing at your end.

    We have cross-checked the scenarios you mentioned and the following are observations.

    ? Image (public) + user not logged in = images are displayed – working

    ? Image (public) + user logged in = images are displayed – working

    ? Image (user) + user not logged in = images are not displayed – this is correct as we have selected privacy as only logged-in users so ideally the image will be displayed only if user is logged in

    ? Image (user) + user logged in = images are not displayed – if privacy is logged-in users and if the user is logged-in then the image is visible it is working as expected

    ? Picture (private) + user not logged in = pictures are not displayed – this is working as expected

    ? Picture (private) + user logged in = pictures are not displayed – this is working as expected

    ? Picture (private) + I’m not logged in = pictures are not displayed – this is working as expected

    ? Picture (private) + I am logged in = pictures are not displayed – this is working as expected

    The second issue can you please elaborate more on? Or share visual if possible?

    Hello,
    I think I didn’t properly explain the first problem. The different display of the images in relation to the privacy of the image and the user who is logged in or not logged in always relates to one and the same gallery!
    The point is to include a gallery call that shows the different results depending on these two parameters.

    The second problem can be seen when you open the following link on our website, https://www.vhsfotoclub.de/verbindungen/en/galerien-der-fotoclub-tr?ger/ then open a section in the accordion and a picture in the gallery in the lightbox. If you now always jump to the next picture with the arrow in the lightbox, at the end of the gallery there is no return to the beginning of the gallery, but the first picture of the gallery is displayed, which is located in the next accordion section. It is a different gallery with a different user ID.
