Problems with the newest Version of PHP

    Hello togehther,

    a friend asked me if I could redesign his homepage because he pays a premium to the host “Strato” because the theme “Twenty Twelve” doesn’t work with the latest PHP version. Can you give me a tip on which theme I should use as a successor to Twenty Twelve? Thank you. Greetings

    The theme works without any problems with PHP 8.1. Do you perhaps not have it up to date? Are there any updates pending?

    The updates are all current, but what just occurred to me is that my friend’s girlfriend has installed a child theme and is currently using it. Could it be because of this?

    Yes, a child theme always contains individual PHP code. If it is not compatible with a newer PHP version, it must be updated. This is best done by the person who programmed the child theme.
