Problems with the redirected permalink

  • I have the same problem and it appears on two different websites/servers.

    I’m using the same domain and when I put something like

    OLD URL: /contact-folder/
    NEW URL: http//domain.com/contact

    I get http//domain.com/contact-folder/

    Hey, soulstudio! I wound up contacting my host about it. Turned out they didn’t set up the redirect in full. They only redirected the main page, but not all the others.

    Will check it out! ?? BTW, do you use the plugin to write redirect conditions into htaccess or do you use WP redirect?

    No problem! ?? I no longer use the plugin, I just did the redirect by writing it into the htaccess myself.

    Ah, I see. Aside the url problem we talked about, this plugin’s htaccess writing seems not to work at all.

    I will probably go for a manual htaccess edit just like you did. ??

    I noticed the same thing, sorry you’re also having problems! Good luck! ??

    Also noticed .htaccess is not getting updated at all, plugin is current as of the update a few hours ago.
