• Hi Guys,

I have just taken on a new client and they have 2 big issues. Firstly, they have a website that the back-end does not look like the front-end at all. They are using Astra Pro theme and Elementor.

The back end looks like this below whereas the front end looks like https://www.coiste.ie. They don’t have any back up apps and the company that built their website are out of business. No-one internally has knowledge of the website development.

I am really stuck here. Appreciate any help

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

The back end looks like this below

    I think you’ve forgotten it.

Anyway, the HTML of the page refers to JS and CSS assets optimized by Autoptimize that are not available anymore. This is probably because WP Fastest Cache is serving an outdated version of the page.

Try to clear/flush/delete both WP Fastest Cache cache and Autoptimize cache.

additionally I would disable all options related to CSS/ JS in WP Fastest Cache to avoid conflicts with Autoptimize and I would enable the “serve as static files” option in AO.

    Hi guys,

thank you so much for your help, and apologies for taking so long to acknowledge (Christmas and new year period has been busy!). Your advice has definitely improved the https://www.coiste.ie website, however the homepage top rotating banner is not displaying.

I am also having issues accessing https://www.coiste.ie/wp-admin/ as I get a warning in chrome:

    This page isn’t working

https://www.coiste.ie redirected you too many times.

I suspect this may be the same issue? I would very much appreciate any help with this.

    Hi @bluesharkdigital

I’m unsure if both issues are connected, but addressing the “wp-admin” problem should be a priority due to its severity.

It appears that https://www.coiste.ie/wp-admin/ redirects to https://www.coiste.ie/dashboard and https://www.coiste.ie/dashboard redirects itself to https://www.coiste.ie/wp-admin/ which creates an infinite loop:

The infinite loop may be caused by rules in the .htaccess file within your website’s root directory. To resolve this, carefully remove the specific redirect rules from the .htaccess file (they should start by Redirect 302 ...). Alternatively, review your hosting settings to remove any undesired redirections that might be set somewhere in the settings.

If you cannot find them, ask to your hosting provider.

Once you regain access to the WordPress dashboard, you can then address the other issue you’re facing.
