    Hello,
we have found that the view in Outlook is incorrect as soon as you use umlauts in the subject of the newsletter.

As an example, here is a screenshot of what the header area of ??a message looks like if there are no umlauts in the subject of the message

As soon as the newsletter contains an umlaut in the subject, the header looks like this

It is always displayed correctly in the newsletter editor. The difference is only noticeable in test emails.

Please provide information on how we can fix this.

    Kind regards,
    Johannes

Hello, please try to go to Settings > General > Advanced > Email Encoding and set it as 8-bit and test again.

Hello and thank you for the quick reply.
Unfortunately, none of the coding versions offered there solve our problem.
There was no change to the email appearance.
Any other idea where this comes from?

    Kind regards,
    Johannes

    Hello Johannes,

yes we found them, sorry for this delay. Sometimes emails just slips by, our bad. Email headers seem ok, please check in Help > Status what you see in the section database, if you can send me a screenshot of that section.

    Hello @blue2shop,

I think we found what’s wrong here. It seems you’re sending with Brevo by using Wp Mail SMTP with tracking active. Tracking doesn’t work well with special encodings, so you should turn that off. I’d also suggest you to use our free Brevo integration addon, which connects directly with Brevo (and hence you can stop using Wp Mail Smtp).

    Michael
