Problems with upgrading from 2.1 to 2.5.

  • I tried upgrading to the newest version and now my website is not showing the theme! I checked it’s files and the theme is still there…I backed the whole thing up, so I put the backed up theme files and replaced them with the website files and its all the same.
    My website is https://lesliepriday.com . I try to go to https://lesliepriday.com/wp-admin/ and it doesn’t change pages! It stays in the same place everytime I try to access the Log In or WP-ADMIN and such. I followed the steps in the guide, I don’t know whats wrong. I need help ASAP, Please.

  • Everything I see at your site seems to indicate that WordPress is actually installed in the the “home” sub-directory.

    Did you at some point (with the previous version) do this? Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

    Hmmm…I did that and I get:

    I did change the “wordpress” parts to home…

    UPDATE: I put the original “index.php” files in the “home” directory, and the modified “index.php” file into the root directory and it’s the same!

    What if I go and undo the change in options-general.php?

    Ah, nevermind, I looked at that file and it doesn’t contain the configuration.

    Ok, maybe I can get rid of the “home” directory and get back on root? What way would be easiest and fastest?

    Move the contents of “home” up a directory to your root. Make sure you’re back to the default index.php file.

    Well, I did move everything and it’s all the same. I didn’t delete the home files. All I did is copy them over.
