are taking me to same place, and it is clearly a WordPress installation.

Are you concerned with canonicalization issues for SEO purposes? i.e. you want to make sure non-www is directed to www. If so you can try this in your .htaccess:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain\.com [NC]
RewriteRule (.*) https://www.domain.com/$1 [L,R=301]
