• Hi Everyone,

since yesterday afternoon i have a problem with my wordpress backend. When logged off or as a normal visitor the loading times of my blog are very fast but since yesterday 3pm the performance in the wordpress backend is terrible.

While i have to wait the message “waiting for pixel.wp.com” appears in the browser buttom.

I checked with different computers and also different providers and browers and with the bad performance in the backend its still the same. It mus be said that there was nothing changed in configuration. No configuration entries and also no plugin updates etc…

    Somebody an idea for it?

    Kind Regards
    Tobias

That’s from the Jetpack plugin, so I recommend reporting the issue to them at https://jetpack.com/contact-support/

    Hi James,

thank you for this. But this even is still the same if i stop the Jetpack Plugin.

Hm, that’s odd. I wonder if anything else is tying into that.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

I stopped all plugins but the speed was the same.

In my eyes it cannot be the theme. First of all – there was no change and all worked fine for month. But the fact is, the problem with the performance just occurs if logged in. When i am logged out as a normal visitor its fast like before. So i guess if it is the theme it should be there as problem all time. Or do i think wrong at this point?

The only way to be sure it’s not the theme is to switch to a different theme temporarily, like Twenty Sixteen, to see if you still have the same problem.
