Problems with woo commerce shop page

New to woo commerce – know a little word press my host is hostgator.
I currently have a godaddy store – trying to move over to woo commerce. Did the install – but when I try to view my shop page I get a directory error ! I see a “shop” folder in my file manager that is causing the problem. When I remove it – everything seems to work. But the next day it comes back ! I am not kidding. Hostgator rep says it is something with the plug in and not on hostgator. Can anyone help a beekeeper out ?
