    Hi,

I have been using WordPress for over a year now with no problems when it comes to upgrading its version … until I tried upgrading from version 4.1.7.

Since upgrading to any higher version, I have had difficulty using the Page Builder plugin. The problem being that when I try to move a Text Field from a column, the Text Field automatically gets taken to the top of the page where I can then only move the Text Field horizontally, thus limiting my editing capabilities.

With this said, I thought there may be a problem with the theme or the other plugins so I decided to do a clean install but still had the same problem. I have spoken to both the theme developer and my VPS hosting company but neither can replicate the problem saying that everything is fine. I have accessed Page Builder from several computers and I can replicate the error on all computers suggesting it is not an error on my computer.

As a result, I can only assume there could be a problem with my Google Chrome browser. With this in mind, I downloaded Firefox and Internet Explorer but still experienced the same problem.

Has anyone had any similar problems and discovered a way to over come this?

    Many thanks.

    Hi @craig1986

Thanks for this quality bug report and sorry to hear about the hassle. We’ll do our best to get it resolved.

    1. So to to confirm, this error is occurring on an install running a default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen for example and no other plugins activated?

    2. Could you perhaps try checking for JS errors in the above clean installation?

    Hi Misplon,

Many thanks for getting back to me swiftly and hope I have helped identify any possible bugs within the Plugin. Bugs aside, the Plugin is great and meets most of my requirements. If I was to put in a request, it would be to have the ability to place a ‘Column’ within a ‘Column’ so that we can have more flexibility over design. An example would be so that on the left hand side, I could have 2 columns whilsts on the right hand side, there is just one column. Other than that, great work with the plugin.

    In response to your questions:

    1. The Plugin came with a Theme that I have been using for almost 12 months, where I have had no problems. The only problem arises when I update WordPress to a higher version than 4.1.7. I have spoken with the Theme Developer who has stated that they cannot find any errors with the theme. I have ensured that both my theme and VPS server meets the requirements of which they do.

    2. I have followed the instructions (thanks for the link) and the only response I get is the following line:

The key “target-densitydpi” is not supported.

Does this indicate there is a problem or is that an expected line?

Many thanks for your assistance with this.
