Problems with WP List Pages and Subpages

  • Currently I’m working on a wordpress website and got problems with the following:

    I want to make pages and subpages. But I want it like if you are on the index, you only see the pages. And when you click on one of those pages, you will also see the subpages of that page you clicked.

    Any idea how to correctly do this?
