Procedure to install if using older (non JetPack) Stats 1.8.5 now?

    Hello,

    Currently I am using the original, non JetPack version of Stats (version 1.8.5) and would like to know the procedure to install this but keep the historical data (in case there is procedure to do so)? Do I deactivate the old stats plugin before activating this one so things do not become confused?

    I looked at that JetPack.. and yeah, lot of crap just to use 1 item within it.

    I deactivated the old stats, installed and activated this one and everything seems to work. Already had a WordPress.com account.
