Would it be possible to process payments for event bookings through Authorize.net for the Events Manager plugin, in a similar fashion to the integration with WP-Ecommerce shown here?

What I would like to achieve is having PMP be the master account information manager for members and have all payments run through the same checkout form. I think it might confuse members to have one type of checkout for memberships and a completely different one for booking events.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Hi hixmyrick,

Definitely contact Jason about a customization for that – We can either handle through our “Do it For Me” services – or if you’re a developer or working with one, we can provide guidance or hands on help implementing this solution with Paid Memberships Pro, sign up at https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/pricing.

hixmyrick, not sure if this will work with Authorize.net and Events Manager, but we have two different ecommerce systems in place on our site both using PayPal through two different plugins (PMPro and Premise), and it works fine. People end up at the respective checkout screens through different flows on the site, so there’s no confusion.

Here’s the Premise checkout page for access to special products and services: https://essaysnark.com/checkout/?product_id=19148

And here’s the PMPRo checkout for access to premium posts on the blog: https://essaysnark.com/membership-account/membership-checkout/?level=1

We had to implement some special code on the backend based on different roles and privileges, to handle the case when a user who started by buying a PMPro subscription could be converted to a user with more access per requirements of the Premise plugin. However, the basic functionality was easy to implement out-of-the-box with these two. Upgrades have been a little tricky though; that’s the main thing that I’d be worried about with doing a custom integration between them. But I don’t really know much about that part so maybe it’s very simple.
