After the latest update of the plugin says “Your database needs to be upgraded following the latest Popup Maker or Popup Maker extension update.” But clicking the Process Upgrade doesn’t do anything. I cannot use the plugin and I get a bunch of php error codes in the plugin admin panel.

@alexanderkirchner – Sorry to hear that. We have been testing this version for months and hoped not to hear that but we are prepared for such.

Can you give me all the errors and details you can so I can get it patched quickly?

I just noticed that the Process Upgrade button does work when pressing it in the Extend tab in the admin panel. Perhaps because there are no error messages in that tab. I first tried to press the button in the All Popups tab and there was a error message under one of my popups Title:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘=’, expecting ‘)’ in /**/**/**/wp/wp-content/plugins/popup-maker/classes/Model/Popup.php on line 590

My other popups are not displayed. Probably because the script stops after the first popup.

I pressed the Process Upgrade 30 minutes ago and that little loading icon still spins. I have joined your facebook group and awaiting approval.

@alexanderkirchner – This was fixed as you confirmed in v1.7.4.

Happy I could help you out. Btw, If you have a moment, I would very much appreciate if you could quickly rate the plugin, just to help us spread the word.

I am also having difficulty with this. I click the “Process Upgrades” button and the spinner spins and spins. Has been going for over 20 minutes. I am not getting any error messages but it just does not finish.

Same problem here. “Your database needs to be upgraded following the latest Popup Maker or Popup Maker extension update.” Endlessly spinning ball and no popups appearing on either of my websites. I have version 1.7.8.

@robinf, @garyifpg – If the update doesn’t show any progress within a few seconds there is likely a PHP error preventing it from completing. In which case if you can give me the error details from your logs I can patch it quickly.

@danieliser Still not upgrading database. How do I send you the logs.

Just updated to Version 1.7.11 and the update is not showing any progress. Hosted on bluehost.com. What logs do you want and how do you want them sent?

I’m using 1.7.11. The alert ” “Your database needs to be upgraded following the latest Popup Maker or Popup Maker extension update.” appears, I click to proceed. After twenty minutes the spinner just spins. Nothing happens. Gave up.

@garyifpg – Sorry for the delay, not easy to keep track of which topics here need attention once they get off the first page.

@onemooresam – PHP Error logs and either message me on facebook via our FB group, or using the support form on our site.

@rmmcclay – Progress should be quick and steady to update. Otherwise the PHP error issue is likely the problem. If you can get me your logs or the recent errors I can further troubleshoot from there.
