I recently installed PayPal Pro on our site to process credit card payments. Most of our payments are subscriptions (recurring payments). This has always worked well for PayPal payments and continues to do so. However, it isn’t working for credit card payments — the initial payment gets processed and the user account is created, but it is *not* a recurring payment on the PayPal end, but simply a one-off payment.

I confirmed this during a discussion with PayPal support. According to them, WordPress (i.e., s2member) doesn’t properly setup recurring payments for credit cards even though the PayPal Pro/PayFlow API does support it.

    I would like to know:
    1) Has anyone successfully used s2member to setup recurring payments via credit card processed through PayPal? If so, what did you do to set it up properly?
    2) If PayPal support is correct and this is a deficiency of s2member, will it be addressed anytime soon?

    Thanks,
    Dylan Casey
