• I can’t link to the site in public. It’s a staging site for the company.

In any event, I would like to specifically have product categories on product pages ONLY and blog post categories on the blog – but it doesn’t seem possible?

One widget area sidebar to add drop downs and that’s it?

Anything I could do to at least HIDE the product categories on the blog pages?

  • if sidebar widgets are your concern, there are plugins to conditionally show widgets – Jetpack is one of them…

also, post categories and product categories are different taxonomies which you could selectively show…

Thank you Michael, but we have disabled Jetpack. (it’s bloated and we’re not using next to any of it’s features) Replaced metrics with Monster Insights. I need a better way around it than a plugin – hopefully. (shrug)

Want all of the content to work properly before any window dressing is done and this is definitely a snag.

AND post categories and product category taxonomies is exactly what I am addressing.

I don’t want both on both sections (products and blog posts)

I want the relative choices on the proper sections.
