Product Attributes (aka Product Features) deleted on product update
-
I have two problems:
1) Product attributes that I have set on a product are being deleted when I update the product. For example, if I have 5 product attributes fields filled out, after updating the page, I will only have 4 filled out and one empty one. If I update again, it stays the same. However, if I move the emptied field to a new spot on the list of product attributes and update the page, another field gets emptied.
2) (SOLVED – see immediately below) When updating the page, the “Value” fields get parsed and loose part of the information. For example, the Value 5″-7″ gets truncated to just “5” after the page update. When the product page is viewed, the Product Features table shows the original (correct) value though. But if I update with the truncated values, the truncated values are what is shown on the product page.
*Update: on further testing, problem #2 seems to be caused when using a quotation mark ( ” ) anywhere in the Product Attributes table. I am assuming this is because of the way the values are being parsed. Any way to fix this, dev team? I’m ok not using the quotation mark in the “Value” field but it seems to me to be a real problem that we can’t use it in the “Unit” field since it is used to mean “inch(es)” and it looks nicer than “inch(es)”. Problem #1 still going strong.
I appreciate any and all help!
