I was recently hired to take over a website that had already been started. I have been adding more products to the shop page, and I have not experienced issues until I created a product with attributes and variations.

After ~30 minutes of updating a product with attributes and variations, the attributes tab gets modified WITHOUT PERMISSION along with a few other product modifications.

What I have noticed being changed (WITHOUT PERMISSION) so far:

    – General product attributes are modified. I have two attributes set (Bottle Size [conditions: 60ml] and Nicotine Level [conditions: 0mg, 3mg, 6mg]). The conditions of the “Nicotine Level” attributes are not changed. However, the “Bottle Size” conditions get some new additions that I did not add in. It changes to 0-mg, 3-mg, 6-mg, 60-ml, and 60ml (the last is the ONLY correct one).

    – Individual product attributes are modified. Let’s use my product “Mississippi” as an example. The attributes that I select to make available for variation for this product are “Bottle Size: 60ml” and “Nicotine Level: 0mg, 3mg, 6mg”. I then use these for variations. After the mystery change in question, the product attributes on the edit product tab are changed to a “Custom product attribute”. The title listed is “Bottle Size” but it is far different than the one I have pre-setup. Under this ‘custom’ attribute, it shows “Name: pa_bottle-size” “Values: 60-ml | 60-ml | 60-ml | 0-mg | 3-mg | 6-mg”. When this happens, my variations are ruined.

    – Product URL is changed. Example: original slug is /mississippi; slug after these mysterious changes is /vaporized-nomads-mississippi.

    – Product categories changed. Example: Mississippi should be in the MAIN category “Eliquid”, with the SUB category “Vaporized Nomads”. After mystery change, it REMOVES it out of the “Eliquid” category and leaves it ONLY in the “Vaporized Nomads” subcategory. This is problematic because now the product does not show up on the “Shop All” page.

    – ~30 minutes after I fix a product back to the way it was supposed to be in the first place, ALL of my products show up as “Published 1 minute ago” and all of the products that have attributes linked get reset, as stated above.

    – None of the “simple” products without attributes or variation have any consequences. The ONLY products that are having this happen are ones with attributes and variations.
