Product attributes not showing up sometimes

Hi,
In an online store there are over 25000 products and some of them have attributes. Almost all of the products are created and updated with a plugin automatically with an XML. The attributes are set correctly and when editing the attributes of the products are set to be visible and all of them are set. But on the customer side, no attributes are seen.
When turning off visibility and then on again (updating products in the process) then they are visible. Is there a fix soo I don’t need to update all products attributes to off and on. And they are visible from the start when imported.
