    It seems that I can’t exclude attributes either. Is there any plan to improve this? I would be willing to pay for such imrpovement.

    No sorry, you can’t exclude attributes at the moment.
    the shortcode will related products based on the current product or the id attribute.

    Then… What’s the shortcode I need to add to retrieve a specific attribute term? Can I add more than one?

    There is no shortcode to do that.
    What you can do is to create a product with the attribute you need and use that product’s id to the shortcode.
