    HI,

I use the official woocommerce product bundles and composite product plugin and the shipping costs are not calculated correctly.

Here are my current shipping settings.

Simple product work well. Here is a simple 5.23kg item. Adding quantity updates shipping cost correctly

Each product bundle or composite product is assembled out of simple products and each of those components has own weight. The bundle/composite is therefore a sum of all individual components and the total weight depends on the quantity of each individual component. i.e. 1kg + 1kg + 5kg = 7kg bundle

But your plugin does completely ignore all these settings. When I place a bundle or a composite into cart, the cost totally does not add up and sometimes even it shows a value of 13.50 which I never set up anywhere.

Here is a bundle with a total weight of over 5.5kg. But the shipping cost displayed is for 0-5kg. Adding more items does not change the shipping rate at all.

There is an option, that I can set the weight o a bundle or composite in the parent product. For example you build a computer and you use a GPU with 1kg gross weight, CPU with 0.5kg gross weight and a case with 5kg gross weight. After assembly you throw away all unnecessary packaging and ship it in one single box with a total weight of 5.5kg instead of 6.5kg. But this can only be used for a bundle/composite with a very fixed content. Therefore it cannot be used for items with variable components where the weight dynamically changes.

Is there any solution to that?

    Hi,

Flexible Shipping uses weight provided by products to cart.

Can you check that weights in cart are correct?
It can be done with this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woo-cart-weight/ (or with similar functionality).
Just install this plugin and add products to cart to check they weights.

    HI,

I’ve just installed it and found out the following

BUndle 1 has weight in cart and the weight is correctly calculated

Bundle 2 has a setting called “shipped individually” disabled and the weight is not showed in the cart

After enabling it the cart page weight was shown correctly.

Thanks and please close this topic

    Regards

    Michal
