    Hi
I’m using Woocommerce blocks ‘Products by Category’ and ‘Products by Attribute’. These are Woocommerce blocks, not a third party.
However, they don’t show stock levels in any way.
    Are they supposed to?
If not, is there another block I should be using to do this?
    Regards

  • Hi @greyrocket

    Thanks for reaching out!

Firstly, I apologize for the delayed response.

I replicated the scenario on my personal site and I am not seeing the stock level as well as this is the expected behavior of these blocks.

Can you please share with us your site goals or what are you trying to achieve on your site so that we could address you more effectively?

If a screenshot would be helpful, I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Hi

I also need to apologize as it does show the quantity for low stock levels. I shouldn’t have said ‘don’t show stock levels in any way’. I’ll try to explain better.

In Woocommerce on the Inventory tab there is an option Stock Display Format. It has 3 options –

    1. Show stock level as ’12 in stock’
    2. Show only stock level when low ‘Only 2 left in stock’.
    3. Never show stock level.

If you select the 1st option to show the stock level as in ’12 in stock’ it only shows the words ‘In Stock’. It doesn’t show the quantity. This is the format expected when you choose the 3rd option ‘Never show stock level’.

The 2nd option that shows the low stock level actually does show the stock level as expected ‘Only 1 in stock’.

So I expected that choosing the 1st option to show the stock level would show the quantity, but the display is the same for 1st and 3rd options.

I’m not sure if this is a theme problem or a Woocommerce problem.

    Hi @greyrocket

Thanks for providing more context to your inquiry here as well as the screenshots, these are helpful!

On my personal site running on the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled, this is what I’m seeing when I enabled the 1st Option:

I’m not sure if this is a theme problem or a Woocommerce problem.

This kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

If this did not resolve the issue, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Let us know how it goes!
