Product Cat and Filter by Price widgets

After 2.1.3 update the Product Categories widget shows all child categories expanded (not using drop down)even when only show child for current category is selected.
Also, this was pre-update, the filter by price slider goes beyond the left edge looking like it should be a neg price. I was trying to resize that widget so that when you slide the right button to the left button they would be on top of right other – But, no luck there.
