product cat back button

Hi not sure if this is a woocommerce issue but when i click on a product then hit the BACK TO button, instead of returning to previous page it returns me to the category page, the page which i have set up with my products has a sidebar added to it and instead of returning to this page it returns to a page which has the default/order dropdown menu

any ideas how i can make it go back to the previous page?

any idea where this is coded?

for now im using code to get rid of that button but would like to use it if possible
