Do I need to have my wordpress site set up with the same categories as my Etsy shop before I transfer the listings over. I just want to know what I need to do once the products are in wordpress to get them to the right page categories.

Also, I am very new to this. When it says the products load to a post. What exactly does that mean? Will the products uploaded from etsy appear on my products page in Woo Commerce? Sorry if I confuse anyone by my question

Ok never mind I think I just found the answer. The products imported from Etsy will not actually work as a product. It will just give the info for people to purchase from Etsy not through my Woo Commerce WordPress website.

    Hello.

If I recall right, the categories from the products in Etsy will be created in the WordPress install in a custom taxonomy, during the import process. Shouldn’t need to do anything manual there.

Correct, we don’t turn your WordPress install into an eCommerce solution itself, we simply provide content/information about the available products from within the site. They can then purchase which products they want via the Etsy store.

Thank you for your quick response! That answers my question.
